There is a lot of press lately about Jenna Rose vs. Rebecca Black. The good, the bad, and the ugly. That is human nature. So what is really going on here? Competition? Success? Failure? War?
I’ll tell you what it is: It’s jealously.
You don’t have to like Jenna Rose, you don’t have to like Rebecca Black, heck, you don’t have to like either of them… or you can choose sides. The facts are the facts… if you are in the press, you are making waves. That’s a good thing. We recognize that no one performer (or no one person for that matter) will be liked by everyone. That’s just the way it is, and it’s ok.
People that hate are usually jealous. People want their own success, but become jealous when others actually achieve it. Success in the entertainment business is tough, it takes time, and it takes both wins and losses. All are learning experiences. For these two young performers, the same holds true for each of them. No matter who you side with, no matter who is more advanced in their careers, they are both still navigating their way through the elaborate maze of showbiz. Only time will tell where it leads. Showmanship remains an important ingredient. Talent is talent, and it needs to be developed and challenged.
So what’s my point?
All this competition is healthy – no matter what your point of view is. Just try to look to yourself and determine if your position is based on jealousy. I like to see success, and I like to see people try. Never give up and you’ll find yourself in a great place that is both fulfilling and prosperous. When you make it to the top you will learn that there are always people who want to see you fall. Those are the jealous ones!

On July 1, 2011, the Jenna Rose OMG jeans commercial has been filmed in a downtown OMG Jeans location in New York City. Complete with dancing, choreography, and spoken lines… As expected, the commercial is a hit.

Jenna Rose will be performing a concert at the five towns college in Dix Hills, New York. The event will be on Sunday, Sept 18, at 2:00 pm. This concert will run 90 minutes, and will also feature a “meet and greet”.
